Visualized Findings and Virtual Reality for Sensor Technologies
During the testing of microwave materials, researchers collect big data sets. The Compass Technology Group team created data transport, storage, search, and visual tools, including augmented reality. The team completed this task as part of an SBIR contract with the Air Force to evaluate non-destructive test (NDT) findings.
The team created an infrastructure that enables storing information on either a local server or in the cloud. This allows users to search, extract, and analyze the facts and figures. Compass Technology Group’s software developer team created tools to display it in a visually useful way. This took complex information and communicated it in a way that was clear and easy to understand. You can view the data on a computer or tablet, or through an augmented reality / mixed reality (AR/MR) headset.
The team can partner with experts in X-ray, ultrasonic, Eddy Current, and other types of NDT technologies. We capture information within our big data infrastructure and provide visual interpretations for the different sensor technologies.
