Innovating since 2011
Founded in 2011 by two engineers, Becky Schultz and Kate Maloney, Compass Technology Group (CTG) began with a mission to research and develop new material characterization technology for the Department of Defense. This company was originally housed out of Georgia Tech’s Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC) in downtown Atlanta. The company was initially funded through America’s Seed Fund, Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. Compass Technology Group first developed a new microwave mapping probe technology for measuring the electromagnetic performance of aircraft canopies. CTG’s sensor technology has since grown into a family of probes for other aerospace applications, along with use in industries ranging from food and agriculture to drilling to academic research.
Today, Compass Technology Group continues to develop new sensor technologies and has grown into a leader of cutting-edge radio frequency (RF) materials measurement equipment and microwave non-destructive testing/evaluation systems.
Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, our team is made up of more than 30 individuals conducting engineering research, software development, and equipment manufacturing. We provide high-quality data to manufacturers, researchers, and repair depots, solving difficult RF materials characterization problems for numerous industries.
