Compass Technology Group is excited to introduce a portable, table-top free-space measurement system that can replace the industry standard laboratory focused beam system, at less then a third of the price, and a fraction of the space. This system easily takes material RF measurement out of the lab and into the field or manufacturing environment.
The table-top frame secures the probes at the proper alignment and distance for optimal measurements. It is versatile and easy to use to allow for multiple specimen types and sizes. The RF spot probes can even be removed and used as hand-held measurement devices on specimens that are too large to fit in the frame. This lightweight, small footprint device can easily be carried by one person to any location.
The SP218 RF probes are specially designed antennas encapsulated in a dielectric and optimized to provide a small, illumination spot 1 to 3 inches in front of the probe. They are very compact and rugged with a wide band performance, making them an excellent choice for a portable, table-top free-space measurement system.
CTGCalc™ is our platform developed to assist in the taking of RF measurements. The software communicates with a number of supported analyzers to take and record calibration, S11, S21 and full 2-port measurement data. Material properties (dielectric permittivity and sheet impedance) can then be extracted from appropriate measurements.
